The Ghana School of Marketing with accreditation by National Accreditation Board and the Institute of Marketing Management SA was establish in October 1991 by the Chartered Institute of Marketing, Ghana. GSM offers tuition to students intending to take the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry, UK (LCCI) and the IMM examination. GSM is run on full-time and part-time basis. GSM affords the convenience to individuals who work during the day, SSS graduates and other non-workers who would want to pursue a professional career.

Students who enrol for courses at the school are motivated by the institute’s highly trained Resource Persons and the singular effort by the Institute in helping graduates with job placement on completion of their studies/courses. The vision of the Ghana School of Marketing is to become a model marketing professional institute, providing top classes marketing education. The school will soon move into its ultra modern secretariat at Baatsona to realize its dream of becoming a model marketing school.

Aims and Objectives of the CIMG

Founded in July 1981 as the Institute of Marketing, Ghana the name was changed in 1992 to the Chartered Institute of Marketing, Ghana with the aim and objective to:

  • Provide world class training and conduct examinations to develop the skills and competencies of members and general public.
  • Champion the role and value of marketing as critical tool for business development.
  • Influence Government policy and regulation on marketing and business.
  • Advocate responsible and ethical marketing practice for marketing and businesses.
  • Advocate responsible and ethical marketing practice for marketing and businesses.
  • Promote marketing as a leading career path and employment choice for future generation.
